Why is the project being launched?
Substantial investment in Gosport in the form of events and venue development is not having the impact it should due to a lack of public awareness.
As a marketing consultant and community activist, I feel it is important that I act to help my home town.[1]
In the past year I have done what I can as an individual in terms of content generation. Primarily through videos posted onto Facebook groups I started the job of letting people know about what is going on[2]. I am now going to formalise and expand this work.
[1] in 2023 I helped to found Gosport Community Cinema, I took on leadership of the Gosport Marine Festival and supported the inaugural Gosport Sunset Festival. I also helped the Historical Diving Society by drafting a three-year marketing plan for The Diving Museum to aid their application for a substantial grant to redevelop and relaunch the museum.
